What is the scope of PA (physician assistant) ,salary and the job prospects?

and do people think that PA's job is like nurses?

PA's do all the work for the doctor/physician. Be careful because it is not "easy" work. Some time ago I went to the department of labor webiste to compare salaries of medical careers and business occupations. http://www.dol.gov

PA's get paid about the same as a nurses. RN's can pick up extra shifts and bonuses. They can travel and practice in so many different facets. Nurses work in academic institutions, teach, work in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, rehab centers, major corporations i.e. The Big Three, IBM, Sony. They also work in churches, armed forces, insurance companies, some cruise ships and more.

PA's dont have the same flexibility when it comes to work environment. It is generally hospitals and clinics. For that reason PA's are not in high demand as RN's.

The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career.
