What job should I go for Teaching or Nurse I love both jobs but I don't know what's better for me? |
Well what really counts? The salary or the enjoyment? O love kids and I would really dig being a nurse? HELP!!!!!!!! Well, just think of it this way. When your patient is on his or her death bed, or you know for a fact that they arent going to make it, you tend to take your work home with you, especially if you care about that patient. So it's not always easy being a nurse. Its fun to help, but you see a BUNCH of bad sh-t. As for a teacher, it depends on what grade you go into that you would get the most enjoyment from. But just think, as soon as they graduate to whatever grade, you're left with that perfectly ignorant bliss that they are making it someowhere in their new lives because of you. Why not be a school nurse? Sometimes they do a short educational thing for the kids. Therefore, you'd have the best of both worlds. You could be a nurse in a pediatrician's office, or even on a children's ward of a hospital. You will earn much more money being a nurse. As a nurse you can work in just about any country in the world but if your heart aint in it forget it Both jobs take a really special person to do. Don't chose for money, you will only find yourself burned out eventually. Choose what your heart tells you. Trust me, money does not solve all your problems and may create more! Which of the 2 do you feel you would be helping people the most? Where would you feel most comfortable. And which one do you think you would get the most enjoyment from? Good Luck. and God Bless Take it from an experienced nurse.Run from nursing as far as you can go.The hours are terrible, the stress is horrible, the work is backbreaking, doctors are jerks, nurses are the worst backstabbers in history, the public is out to sue you. Money is good yes but not in hospitals, better in nursing homes.Facilities don't give you enough help and you run yourself ragged.Teacher yes well respected, good hours off in the summer perfect for mother of children. Be a pediatric nurse. Great pay and you will be with kids. Both of these careers involve "taking your work home with you". I am a teacher and I am currently pursuing a different degree so that I can change careers. |
