Which country to be a Nurse in?

I am a student nurse in the UK and I'm thinking about starting my career abroad as the job situation here is not too good. I was therefore wondering which country is the best to be a Nurse in, ie lifestyle, salary, job security etc?

you can be a nurse in any country. it doesn't matter.

I have heard a good place is Western Australia. My friend is a Health Visitor out there and says its great on all counts

Israel for humanitarian reasons and Australia for others reasons.

AMERICA LAND OF THE FREE!!!

my shiny metal @$$... cough

Iraq needs health people

I am a non practicing RGN, qualified in UK. Have lived in Canada before qualifying. Many countries have slightly different criteria and even doing a degree in nursing may require you to do some extra training or sit some kind of exams. In the 70's my mother worked as a nurse in Canada but was only considered a graduate nurse and could not get the full registration unless she did extra training, which she chose not to. My cousin in South Africa trained as a nurse and midwife in the UK and also had to do extra training when she moved to South Africa.

ANY PLACE WITHOUT SOCIALIZED MEDICINE. IN THE US AND OTHER COUNTRIES THERE IS AN AGING POPULATION SO YOU ARE IN A GOOD FIELD

After watching a recent documentary about British nurses
who had moved to Australia I think you should consider this.
Great climate better income more respect less of the dirty jobs. No language problems and all your freinds would be really envious. BOB

australia is supposed to offer great opportunities - saw a TV programme a couple of weeks ago about UK nurses who went to Oz and then never came back because they had much better work and life opportunities

Your Country Needs You You Jerk!

Put Something back, maybe then you can look for another country!

I spent 55 years trying to put something back before realizing I was financing the worlds poor in my own country! You could at least make some effort. Then you can have a genuine reason for leaving (being bitter and twisted like me!) Anyway Good Luck!

Look into Australia, they may also throw in accommodation for you.
