How much is the monthly salary of nurses working in the U.S. nowadays?

My wife is an RN and has been for twelve years. She makes about $4500 a month, but she only works part time. Full-time nurses in California can make about $90,000-$110,000 depending on location (Newborn, L & D, Emergency, Neo-Natal)

If you are just starting hang in there. The classes are tough but it is worth it. Great pay, good hours, 12-hour shifts at some hospitals, and great benefits.

It varies greatly depending on where you work and live.

Here in the SF bay area nurses start at $25-30 per hour, which is about $60,000 a year working full time, plus benefits.

In places with a lower cost of living, they start at $20-25 an hour.

With raises, working overtime, and getting holiday and bonus pay I know some that make almost $200,000 a year (which involved a LOT of missed soccer games...).
