Salary of nurses in Norway?

How much is the salary of nurses working in Norway?
Please indicate the rate per hour.
Example 150 kroner per hour.
Thanks

According to the Norwegian Nurse Association, as of 2007, the minimum a nurse makes is 281 500 kroner a year. (that is for a nurse with zero years of work experience) If you have 4 years of work experience it's 287 600, 8 years is 295 600 and 10 years is 320 400.. Nurses have some compensation for working in the evening and weekends and such, so they actually make more money than most statistics show. According to Statistics Norway (known as SSB in Norway), the average salary for nurses working in the private sector is 354.000 kr a year..

the rate per hour varies, and it doesn't include compensation for evening and weekend work, so it shouldn't be used to indicate salary.. It's much better to use the annual salary..

Thanks for the question. I had fun looking up the information.

Registered nurses working in Norway make about 97.95 Norwegian Kroner (NOK) per hour. That converts to about 18.05 USD per hour. The annual salary in USD would be about $37,540 annually...(203,576 NOK)

In Norway, the pay for nurses is considered upper middle income. The salaries for nurses are comparable to other college level educations of the same duration. Specialized nurses have higher salaries than general nurses. A nurse who registers in Norway can also work in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland; although, in Finland and Iceland, the languages are considerably different.
