What do you think has a higher salary, accounting or nurse?

survey purpose

An RN (registered nurse) would be higher, because there's a nationwide shortage of nurses in the USA. Some hospitals are sponsoring RN nurses from overseas to come to USA on a working visa. They're not doing that with CPA accountants.

If you choose to be an accountant, you need to be a CPA (certified public accountant) to make the big bucks. With an RN, you can use your years of experience to eventually get upgraded to the same credential as a doctor. Some doctors started out as RNs.

Notice all the accountants below me had given me a "thumbs down" vote. This is the mentality you gain as an accountant. As a CPA, you attend informal meetings at golf courses to discuss ways to evade paying taxes, and increasing profits illegally. It will be your job to make the filthy-rich into absurdly rich. You make more $$ by lying on the tax reports to under-report revenue earnings, and evade paying the corporation's fair share in taxes. As an RN nurse, you're saving lives and helping the doctor deliver babies to bring forth new life into this world. Is that not a more noble and respectable job, that lying to the IRS to under-report and evade taxes ??

that all depends on both jobs but i would say nursing

Nurses depending on education and specialty.

probably a CPA in Southeast Missouri with 10yrs exp im making around $15/hr as a lpn

ACCOUNTING - it has almost no limits as you can move into any level management. Also, the hours are better; and you do not have to be exposed to bodily fluids.

i would say that accounting has a greater potential depending how good you are, and how high your education level but nursing probably pays more to start and i think has a fixed level of required education for RN status

A nurse starts on a higher wage, but there increase is less steep. And for a nurse it depends where she works for ... in a private held hospital or not.

Accounting will go very high depending on the too cover area.... such salary, expenses, etc...
