I want to go into something medical...options?

I really want to go into a career into the medical field. i was thinking about doing nursing and ultimately end up as a nurse anesthetist. but i just want to know what kind of other careers are out there like that besides your average doctor and nurse. things that are still medical but different. thanks!

Physical therapists are somewhat medical, as are pharmacists and psychiatrists. If you're looking for something a little more distant from nurse/doctor, maybe biomedical engineering which works with prosthetic limbs and the development of hospital equipment like CAT scanners and the like.
