How do I narrow the nurse practitioner field?

I am not a nurse yet. But, I do plan on getting my MA in nursing. From the little knowledge that I do have, the fields of Family Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Anesthetist seem the most interesting to me. Can nurses please give me their opinion of each?

FNP: Lots of patient contact, lots of interpersonal relationships, usually very broad and wide range of problems that you deal with, usually outpatient oriented.

CRNA: Lots of patient contact with patients asleep, very intense periods of work (during surgery and recovery), fairly independent in your work, more narrow in your use of skills.

Both are great areas, and while both are medical, they just have a different "feel" to the job. While they both deal with people and their medical problems, CRNAs more often deal with non-routine issues and at times where it is critical. CRNAs command the best salary, but also have the most stress. FNPs have good jobs as well, with broader patient care areas.
