Does anybody else work at a hospital? Or a unfriendly place? |
I'm a cleanliness assistant, the other day i went to speak to a patient who wanted some help, i had to consult her nurse... After standing at the desk for about 4 minutes whilst the nuse chatted away to the receptionist about her weekend, the nurse looked up at me with a glare and said, "do you want something?" in the nastiest tone of voice. Talk about being looked down on. I was so Annoyed!! Had she not been chinwagging away she would of known her patient needed some help...Charming!! x Yes it's really annoying when people make you feel like you're the lowest of the low, there's someone where I work who looks at me as though I'd just been dragged in by the cat! Hey :-) this happened to me recently, I worked (albeit breifly) in a resaurant and I had only been there a couple of evenings when they left me totally on my own. I had several sarky comments from one particular set of people whilst the rest of the people seemed to understand and were being really lovely. So I basically ignored the table that were giving me grief. I was only doing it for extra cash while studying for my PhD so I just kept thinking if it gets really bad I can just walk out and also when they were talking down to me I thought to myself, in a couple of years I'll be a Dr which is more than any of them were ever going to be. Evnetually I just walked out :-) Ohhhh the power! just ask someone close to you for assistance I think it's unfair to say that just because this one nurse was unfriendly that all hospitals are unfriendly places. Where I work everyone is lovely. Maybe you just picked one of the few unfriendly nurses. what an ol cow... i have to admit I work in a great company where theres none of that carry on - prob coz I work with all men!!! Thank you for being so kind and doing that. My gran was in hospital recently and unfortunately died there and the care she was given was absolutely terrible so although you didn't get any thanks from them, just remember how grateful that patients family would be to you. Have a lovely day xx |
