Whats the difference ?

Whats the difference from a nurse practioner and a physicians assistant, or are they both the same thing just different words ?

No- this is not the same role. A nurse practitioner is a nurse with advanced training, typically a masters degree or higher. You can read more about it here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nurse_pract...
A physician's assistant training is similar to being a doctor, and they are licensed to practice medicine under an MD's supervision. You can read more here
http://www.aapa.org/geninfo1.html

Believe it or not, they're two different people. One helps a Physician out when he needs help. And a nurse practitioner helps a nurse as they need it, like at a hospital

Well, they're almost the same. Both require the charts to be signed by the doctor looking over them (the "attending"), but for whatever reason, NP's seem to have more power than a PA. They are about the same thing, it's just the stuff they do might not be 100% the same.

Physician's assistant is a technical job which position's power is technically granted by the overseeing physician - in other words, if the doctor wants him to only be able to bring guests to the back that's all he can do, if he wants him to be able to give shots and see patients on his own than thats what he can do - but essentially the doctor is responsinble for him.

Nurse Practitioners are nurses with their Masters Degree (quite a bit more schooling than PAs, but still quite a bit less than doctors) and who have enough experience to be sponsored by a doctor. For NPs their power is allotted not by the sponsoring doctor, but by the state and is further restricted by the region - usually in an attempt to spread them out over the state.

NPs do much of the same work a doctor does, and in many cases now do not even need to report anything to a doctor in order to carry out a fully functioning clinic. In many areas across the US now, NPs are allowed to operate and head up their own clinic miles away from the nearest doctor, hire a nursing staff under them on their own accord, see patients, diagnose patients, prescribe medicine, or refer to a specialist without having to request anything from a M.D.

These changes are mostly due to the shortages of nurses and doctors in rural areas across the US, but the fact is most NPs are very capable of doing this -- moreso than some MDs even.
