What can I do when a nurse putting me down and putting up to me, yelling all day at me?

I am a dental assistant and my supervisor is a nurse which is abusing me every day for so many months already by beeing abusiv, picking me up and put me down. I start taking prescribed medication for for depresion because of her. She is vulgar. Now I have no confidence in my self anymore. Can I refer to a minister of nurses? What can I do?

No the correct course is to have a talk with your employer and make a statement about it for the record.
It also needs to be followed up in writing. Then if nothing is done or it continues you need to contact a union representitive.

In fact i would also do that and have them mediate with your employer for you. That is one of their roles.

You don;t have to suffer abuse in employement from anybody so go get it fixed.

Thank you all for your support guys Report It

don't find another job, report her for harassment. these people need to be made an example out of her. she will win if you leave. get you copy of dr. notes saying your on meds. because of her. then see a lawyer. then, you can retire. i've never sued but i should have $'s hard. Report It

What country are you in? I'm not sure why a nurse is your supervisor if you are a dental assistant. Yeah, nurses can be pretty nasty. I know, b/c I am one. Maybe you could try to talk to her about it, she may not know how she comes across to you. Or maybe you are doing things wrong and you really do need to change your practices, I don't know.

Unfortunatley for you, you're in a subordinate position..... sometimes we just have bad bosses. We don't usually fire people because their mean and you'd probably have a losing battle.

I have found in life that the best thing is to look around for a better environment for you. You are a dental assistant, so you have experience. I'm sure there more openings for that job than many others. I'd really look around and just go somewhere else.

It's better than beating your head against a brick wall. Experience has shown me that even if you "blow her in", "report her" to yada yada yada...... in the end, she'll win - and if she doesn't, she'll make you miserable in other ways..... it's just a no-win situation. I've been in the, and got out - found something else - and always happier. Life is a ride.... it's not always perflect.

You can talk to her, but if you think she's incapable of communication then go to the dentist you actually work for. Start looking for another job and when asked why you want to leave tell em. I'm sure there's something in labor laws that is specific you can check your state's laws, if it's real bad

why do you work there... change jobs, report her to her suprvisor.. put harassment charges on her

if u are a dental assistant why is yur supervisor a nurse? wouldnt she make more money being an actual nurse? i would turn around and mouth back off to her and tell her to go back to being a nurse ! or could she not pull her wieght ? maybe she makes herself feel better by belittling u! get a back bone and stand up to her! im a demtal assistant also. u dont need that crap!
