Work hard in school. study NVQs in childcare at college, additionally try to get a placement in a local nursery, where an assessor can come to grade you at work. Dont get a criminal record of any variety, you will be asked to undergo an enhanced check with the police to make sure you are fit to work with children, for a nursery nurse, physical welfare is a factor so some sort of first aid training could be appropriate. If you want to be a cook, you shouldnt really need formal child care training, however it helps if you take an NVQ or equivalent in food preparation etc and study dietry requirements of three year olds! Good luck, work hard, help your mother, babysit occasionally! I am sure you will make a fine nursery supervisor one day. But remember so will 10,000 other kids your age if you don't watch your grades!
