Outdoor careers?

I am a 16 year old girl and I am thinking about my future, college, career etc and for a while I was considering medical careers (either a Physician's Assistant or a nurse), I enjoy biology a lot and Discovery Health Channel and things .. but really my biggest love is nature, the outdoors and animals. I don't think I could ever be a vet so that is out of the question but what are other careers I could have involving those things that I might actually have a chance to get a job in (I am very realistic and I wouldn't be able to pursue a job with few openings =[) Thanks a lot!

I can't pursue a career with few openings because I am a huge realist unfortunately, if there are only a handful of openings per year I can't allow myself to take a gamble on years of college pursuing the career when I might not ever plant a job. =P doesn't that make sense? And yes, I know nursing has many options and openings... I was asking about outdoor careers.

Have you considered a game warden? It is a government job, which usually means great benefits, and a pension plan. You would definitely spend a lot of time outdoors, and you would be helping the environment. Another career that you may consider is marine biologist. Both jobs have plenty of openings, and you should be able to find work nearly everywhere in the world. Good luck. For more info on a career, like pay, openings, and so forth go to www.acinet.org. It has a whole lot of information.

Why couldn't you pursue a career with few openings?
Nurses were not in demand a while back , then they had a shortage, now they need them again. That is the way of the workforce. I would suggest that you go for nursing and take it from there. You have so many options as there are nurses for every specialty.
