Which gets paid more money?

Nurse or dental assistant?

Hands down, a nurse. There are different "levels" of nursing, though, and they pay accordingly. A LVN doesn't make nearly as much as a RN, so check out how much time and money you can put into your education, talk to a counselor, and go from there. You could always start out at a lower level and continue with classes to work your way up. With the shortage of nurses, many institutions will even subsidize your continuing education, as long as you promise them a set amount of employment time later on.

Nurse. Probably 2 to 3 times as much.

nurse all the way i cant tell you how much my wife makes but, were living good

Nurses get pay and benefits worth at least 3 times what a dental assistant makes

My wife is a nurse and she makes over 60000 a year.

Which type of nurse are you referring to? If you mean like an LVN then it might be 15 bucks to 20 bucks an hour. If you mean RN then its like 30 to 50 per hour. Dental assistants seem to make about 10 to 15 dollars per hour average. If you have no experience, you are probably going to get the 10 dollar per hour wage.

RNs in my area (Sacramento, ca) make about 37.50 per hour with huge sign on bonus's like 12,000 dollars right out of school. Plus they are given all the Overtime they want which means 56 bucks an hour for every hour over 40 hours per week. They work 12 hour shifts though.

Nurse gets 48,000 to 67,000 depending on where you work.
Dental Assistant gets 25,000 to 37,000 depending on where you work.
