Anyone here a CNA?

I want to go into the nursing field and I heard that there are CNA classes that I can take. If anyone here is a CNA (Certified Nurse's Assistant) how much did you start out at and what type of things do you do on the job? Income varied. Home care pays more and has more flexible hours than working in a nursing home. Plus, you only have to take care of one to two people in home care and in a nursing home you bust your a** taking care of 20 people. That's feeding them two to three meals a day, meds, showers, sheets.

My sister is a cna, going for her rn degree! Making only $11/hour now, but will triple that as a nurse! Good luck to you....it would be great learning experience if you plan on becomming an rn, which I suggest you do! You will always have job security...not only is it a job, but a career!! Good luck,,,,you can do it!!!

She does have to do some not so pretty work like cleaning up after people (bathroom), but she says it is not that bad, once you get through the first few months, its just part of the job.

I was one for years before I became a nurse. the CNA makes about 13.00 an hour to start.
