I wanna know about the rate of pay for a certified nurses assistant? |
I have been trying to find out what the rate of pay is for a c.n.a. in different states because i am wanting to move. where i live they don't pay what they should. I've looked up some things on the internet, but i haven't really came up with any figures. so can you all please help me? I'm mostly looking for states like florida, texas, and atlanta. So can you please tell me what is the most i can make in those states? thanks lots!!!!! Most states start their new CNAs at minimum wage. If you have references and good working experiences, then maybe 40-50 cents more an hour and MAYBE a few benefits (health, life insurance, etc). I lived in those states you have listed and also Atlanta and so I'm not wrong about the wages. They are expensive places to live so I left them (and I was an RN!). Turnover is really bad because of lack of benefits and low pay because of high living expensives. If you stay put anywhere, you normally get your first raise at 3 or 6 months and then each 5 month ot year after. maybe go to school-become a nurse--then move? you don't want to be an assistant forever-do you? |
