Has anyone here taken the Certified Nurse Assistant state exam?

I want to be a CNA and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how it is when you test in front of the state examiner?

In Ohio, you have to take training classes, that I found one day in the paper at a nursing home, many in my area offer this kind of training, but you can find the classes through tech schools too. They gave you class training and hands on training. You had to complete so much before you were able to take the state test. The test itself was a multiple choice test and a hands on test in which you needed to complete I belive 3 skills, one of which was hand washing. The skill test was easy and so was the exam..Good Luck, hope this helps. PS it involved alot of common sense, like what way to you wipe someone as you clean poop off them, front to back or back to front.

you have to take a class first.

In North Carolina anyway, you have to take a class,do clinicals for 2 weeks, then take an exam. The test is given by your instructor and the results are sent to the board of nursing.hope this info is helpful :)

it probably depends on the state and how many cnas are needed at the time...ive been told its easy if you know what youre doing and a lot of it is common sense.
