How much do Certified Nursing Assistants get paid? My best friend was a CNA and she lived in Washington State, worked in a nursing home and made $10.00 an hour. Check out the link, it should give you some more info. In Texas about 8.00 per hour, not nearly enough for what they do. It depends on the location (city, state) and the position. depends on the state - in CA - DOE - $32k/yr - $$45k/yr In Indiana minimum wage to 7 dollars an hour until you become a QMA then its 7 to 10 dollars an hour. It really depends on the area, and the shift being worked. CNAs who work the midnight shift always get paid about $.75 to $1.50 more, because that's a heck of a shift! In the areas where I'm from (East Coast and Midwest), I've seen them be paid up to $13/hr. But where my hubby's from (California), he said they only make about $8 or $9/hr.
