How many nursing assistants are out there? do u like it? Well I worked as a CNA at a nursing home for 5 years and eventually stopped last year due to a car wreck. I loved it but there were times I felt as though I could walk out of the place. It takes a special person to do the job. If you want to ask me any questions you can email me. I have been a N.A for 2 1/2 year at Cincinnati Children's hospital and I love it I think that if I was at an adult hospital or nursing home I wouldn't appreciate it half as much. Good luck and enjoy. I am not a nursing assistant but, I commend any and all that are willing to take care and love our elderly. God Bless all of you for this commitment. I was a cna, personal care assistant, and an assistant on a mental health unit....Loved them all. I'm a CNA and I've worked in assisted living (plus a dementia unit) for 7 months now. On most days I really like it, but sometimes I get very stressed and feel like just walking out. However it's very rewarding to know that you're helping people everyday. |
