Does anyone know if medical assistant refers to nursing?? |
thanx ppl No, it does not. A medical assistant (MA) works in a doctors office, sometimes they take blood to send to the lab and they take vital signs (blood pressure, temp etc). No it does not...A medical assistant is a multi-skilled healthcare professional who handles a number of things in outpatient clinics, hospitals, labs, etc...also they ASSIST doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and are sometimes supervised by nurses. Nurses make a lot more money...MAs ca make anywhere from $12-$20 per hour, depending on where you work, and your educational/work background,... |

The hospital I work at, they give you a base pay rate. Depending on what shift(s) you work, depends on exactly how much you make an hour. Some areas are higher though but that is like south florida and such but the cost of living is so expensive... |
