What is the difference between nursing aide, medical assistant and medical technoligist ?thanks?

Nursing aide- Little or no schooling, helps out the medical assistants, CNAs, Nurses.

Medical Assistant- Little more schooling. Can take vitals, temperature, and take care of patients. Helps out nurses and doctors.

Medical Technologists are COMPLETELY different. 4 years of schooling and Internships. WE (I am one) Work in the medical laboratory and we run all of the diagnostic tests that doctors ask for. We run tests and give the doctors results.

Phlebotomists- little or no schoooling. (2 week training!) All they do is take blood and urine samples. They are not taught anything about laboratory tests or patient care. Just to draw blood.(I was one before I finished school for Medical Technology.

Education and pay scale.

as a former CNA I can tell you that CNA's are on the bottom of that chain.
CNA do all the dirty work.

An aide assists the nurse with hands-on patient care. A medical assistant may do routine tasks like taking patients vital signs and blood sugars. A med tech is usually a lab phlebotomist.
