Anybody know the differences among physician assistant, medical assistant, and nursing??

physician assistant or PA is the highest level from among your list, both in terms of education, salary, and time required for a degree. A PA functions like a doctor in many respects. This is similar to a nurse-practitioner, or NP.

Nursing, look it up, pretty straight forward, there are lvn and RN, with RN there is a BSN and ADN ( 2 vs 4 yr degree)

Medical assistant is a person who has very basic knowledge of medical office procedures and assists with blood pressures, etc.. Do you want to know something more specific?

michalakd is right. A physician's assistant is the highest of the three, and is almost on level with an MD or DO. Often you might visit a doctor's office and the PA will actually take care of you. I believe PA's generally spend a couple years in medical school post-graduate.

There are also many levels of nurses. Some have associates degrees and some have masters degrees (big difference.) Some, like "Nurse Practitioners," are very similar to PA's.

A medical assistant is just like an orderly. They might take blood-pressure and stuff but mostly they probably just clean the examination rooms and bring the doctor things.
