Is there any nursing assistant jobs open for someone with a year experience but I'm not certified?

I worked in a nursing home from 8/00 to 7/01 and I also have been doing private duty work . I just don't have the money to pay to take the test to be certified. Please help me.

You should try to apply at various nursing homes in your area. Many of them will hire you and will assist you in the certification process - especially if you've had experience.

Certification varies by state, but most Nursing Homes will work with you to get the certification - you may need to take the job for a dollar or two less per hour until you've completed your certification.

wish you would of said where you are. But I'm sure your skills are needed in every community,watch the papers for openings and you could also place your own ad. I too am a care-aide but have my papers....another place to look would be senior centre, they likely have a bulletin board
