How do you become a Registered Nurse (RN)?

I will be receiving a bachelor's degree in biology next year and I've just now realized that I want to become a nurse.

Since you will already have a Bachelor's degree, your best bet will be to find out what schools in your area offer an accelerated program to transition from any Bachelor to a Bachelor in Nursing. I have my AAS in Nursing, and know some people who did the accelerated program. One had a bachelor's degree in graphic design, and did the acclerated program at a local university. It only took (I think) 9 months, and now she has a bachelor in nursing.

you should contact the school that has a nursing program that you would like to attend. i know that several people who graduated from the nursing school i attended had degrees in other fields but still had to complete the entire nursing program. you could check several nursing schools and find out. you should also check your state board of nursing website and find out which schools have high success rates for passing state boards. it won't do you much good to attend nursing school, which is a very stressful, strict curriculum, if they don't prepare you for passing your licensing exam and for your future practice.
