Earn BSN in Navy? |
If I join the Navy, will I be able to work towards earning a BSN (Bachelor's of Science in Nursing) as well? Will the Navy help me, while serving? Also.....Would it be better to join another branch then to help earn BSN?? just wondering.... depends. on you wanting to have the Navy pay for it. then you will need to go STA-21 Nursing Option if you are enlisted, or ROTC Nursing Option if you are not. Both Programs are very competitive and only accept a few people each year. they'll give u the option to have them pay for it but keep you so busy you'll never use it. you'll have to wait till u get out and use your GI bill.. its a recruiting gimmick.. Yes you will be able to work toward your degree. Yes the navy will help you. I have no idea if you will go to Russia. Some ships based out of the Pacific get to go to places close to Russia sometimes. There are opportunities on board ships to take college classes, and tons of colleges offer distance learning for sailors. When you're junior enlisted though, you have to request permission to enroll in classes so that someone can make sure you're not overextending yourself. The Navy does have a good tuition assistance program. Tell you what.... |
