What are the qualifications to be a call center agent? (Phils.)?

I'm 19 taking up Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I'm planning to work at the end of the semester. I want to know what are the things i need to know about the job.

Well, idon't really have an idea 'bout the inbound/outbound stuffs. I was hopin' if i have the chance to land the job since i am 19 & 3rd year BSN student (college) in the Phils.

It depends on the type of call center it is...inbound, outbound, both? What kind of company is it? Customer Service, Sales, Help Desk support? More information is needed to answer you correctly, but think of it as working in the store, and the qualifications you need there. For example, if you worked at the cable company, you would need to know the same things that you need to know to work in the call center for the cable company. Hope this helps!

I think they pretty much take any one. I don't even think English is a requirement.

You mean telemarketing? No qualifications!

Speak good clear english, and be friendly on the phone.
If you speak other languages, you might be paid a bonus.

I spent several years in call centre. It was very boring work & badly paid. The hours are usually not too good either.
