How much does a RN make a year????/?

I'm not sure if these are factors that influence salary.....

- I'm planning to get my bachelor of science in nursing.
- I'll be living in the northeast. (new york, massachussetts...)
- I'll be most likely working with adults (internal medicine, neurology, cardiology.....)

,my best friend is an Emergency Room RN she made 58,656k this year . . (I just helped her do her taxes)

unless 40 $ per hour , that means unless 72 k per year.
