What do foreign nurses need to accomplish to get licensed to practice in California? |
i am a fresh graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing in the Philippines and soon to be married in the U.S. after the fiancee visa is approved hopefully early next year. i am still to take the Local Nurses' Licensure Exam this December before going to the States with my fiance, what exams and requirements do i need to accomplish to get licensed to practice in California if i passed our local board exams here? thank you. I once worked in a nursing home with a woman from the philippines who was a registered nurse there but when she came here she had to start all over from the begining as a nurse aide, The same thing with two mexican women one a school teacher, one a nurse but when they came to the states unfortunatly their degrees didnt matter. |
