Qualifications for Nursing?

I'm looking at possibly becoming a nurse, and I was wondering who I would write to in a hospital on what kind of qualifications they look for in potential nurses? (I already have a Bachelors in Sociology) I'm thinking maybe ER or pediatric nursing. Any helpful information would be welcome. Thanks so much! (Please no advertisers...I will ignore you...thanks!)

well you'll need a nursing degree. here's req. for that: http://www.jewell.edu/william_jewell/gen...

you can't just walk in off the streets as it were. LPN is the quickest way in. RN is better. by the way i do know what i'm talking about, i put an old love through college and nursing program. ER is hell and doesn't pay enough, btw.
