Bachelor in Nursing, and a minor in law enforcement...?

Is there any jobs in law enforcement that could fit with that? Thanks for any info.

With a nursing degree I am assuming you have had some extensive Lab. science experience especially in biology and chemistry. If that is so then with your major and minor you might do well in a crime lab environment.

By this I don't mean in the line of CSI television shows which are fiction with some truth thrown in. Most crime scene investigators are either police officers or Lab. Techs. Except in smaller agencies where duties tend to overlap each other, large department's assignments are clearly delineated and tend not to overlap.

A crime Lab. receives evidence from the field and performs specific examinations on the evidence and analyzes the findings in the context of the crime being investigated. If a criminal case is ultimately put together and presented to a court, the Lab. Tech/Scientist (that's what they really are) present their portion of the investigation to the court.

If you have a desire for a career in some aspect of law enforcement but don't want to be a street police officer then I would highly recommend the crime Lab. avenue to you.

Yep.
SWAT med. If you can also work some emergency med courses (EMTAdvanced and ACLS) into your education you could be a SWAT EMT. You get to be a tactical officer and a med at the same time.

Basically, you are the last or second to last, man to go in on a formation. Your job is to be a tac officer first and to treat any team wounds then you also treat any injured suspects too.

OR

Extradition transport med officer. This is for long haul extraditions that involve detainees with health conditions that require medication administration other than pills or subjects whose health has to be monitored.

Hope this helps
