Nursing and care? |
Hi i have my 1st assignment as a 1st yr student in nursing. You need to a have an introduction, main body and conclusion. In the introduction, you need to outline what the topic of the assignment is and its aims, what areas you are going to look at. In the introduction use a reference such as" Clarke (2006) defines care as.... etc etc. However, Black (2007) states that care is defined as.......etc. You need to have lots of references so that you are able to critique all the views of what authors describe as care. In your main body you can use sub headings (historical, lay cares, professional carers etc) You will be able to outline the differences in how lay carers perceive what care is and what professionals perceive it to be) Your conclusion will outline what you have discussed in your main body and any conclusion that came about from it. well in lay carers i guess were nuns and missionaries....not sure may be thats the right direction Don't know if you can use this, but you could include something about how nursing is the professionalization of caring, that to care is not just dressing wounds and, if you're Florence Nightengale, opening windows, but it is an attitude as well as an action. Caring is having a genuine interest in someone else's lived experience so that you can help them achieve health and well-being, whatever their personal definition of health is. |
