Death or dying in a hospital what are your experiences with nursing care when your loved is slowly dying? |
When a loved one is admitted to the hospital and you are told he/she is dying and you are told there is nothing that can be done. You find out that nurses are not giving very good care and are very rough. Have you experienced this with your loved one? please reply. I'm sorry you have experienced this. Is there a hospice program where you live where they can practice comfort care for your loved one? It might be worth looking into and is covered under most insurance plans. that is not proper nursing care and should be reported to the hospital administration and/or the board of nursing. Depends, you can sue them (the nurses) or report the nurses in the hospital. If there is really nothing that the people in the hospitcal can do, I don't know. I know you feel really bad about the situation, but you have to also be able to prove what you're saying. Do the other members of your family think the same as you, or are you the only one? you really have to watch everyone. tell them when you are not pleased with something they do. if it's really bad, raise hell. if they see you are watching and not pleased, they will do better. i had one that was not allowed in my husbands room when he was dying. |
