Medical Assisting?

I am trying to figure out a career path and I'm kinda leaning toward medical assisting. Is this a good field? I would like to be a nurse but can't handle some of the situations in a hospital. Any suggestions?

i am a CNA, CMA and a LPN
yes a Certified Medical Assistant is a very good job
usually no weekends or holidays
and work directly with 1 or 2 drs
i enjoyed it very much and liked the office atmosphere
a lot

there is too many of medical assistants already WITHOUT A JOB so do the math
