If you met a girl who worked in a trade/construciton...would you still date her??

Or would that be a turn off to you? I am educated and worked as a nurse for 15 years, I'm attractive and normally don't have a hard time meeting men and I also have a great personality so I'm told. I just think my new career will be a turn-off to a potential b/f?

To hell with any dude who wouldn't date you. If your career is a turn off to a guy, the guy should be a turn off to you. You are you. No apologies.

It would be ok by me.

yeah i would have no problem with that

grap ur ankles please

If a guy is secure in his own manhood, he won't have an issue with it.

wouldnt bother me

Not a chance.

Massive turn off.

I'll explain "great personality" to you, it's about as good a sign as when you describe someone as a "nice guy".

Unless she wore her nurse's uniform. Those things are hot.

I date for personality, not vocation.

if they care about where u work then there not rite for u

Absolutely. That would make no difference to me. It might even be an asset since you dared to be different rather than the same ol' thing.

If you're as good looking as you say you are, I don't think it would hurt you with most men. However, if someone just told me that a girl worked in construction, I'd assume that she was butch and ugly. I've never seen a good looking female construction worker.

That said, you should follow your passions and do what you think makes you happy.

Of course. In fact, your profession would be a turn-on some guys. You like tools. You can build things. You're not the dainty, prissy, oh-my-god-i-think-i-broke-a-nail girly-girl type.

I wouldn't be turned off. I like strong women who can treat my wounds. It a turn on for me. Attractiveness and a great personallity turns me on even more. Just wait for the right guy he'll come along. Especially if you wear a sexy nurse outfit in public.

I'm a welder and married. I think it's only a turnoff for those who are threatenend by women in trades...and I don't find that I come across a huge number of those.

BTW tradeswomen are not all butch and ugly lol

I think it kinda depends... if you are a "girly-girl" then it may be a turn off but if you have a tomboy type of personality then it will probably be a turn-on. Just don't complain about breaking a fingernail or getting your hands dirty if you're trying to impress someone you work with..

(I am female by the way but have lots of male friends/co-workers and manage about 50 male trade workers)

Yes, i would date her. For me Beauty is first, other qualities come second. As long as a girl is attractive and sexy in my opinion, i would date her. Her education and career take second place.

Also, i have more respect for a girl that works in construction, because that kind of work brings her in touch with the harsh realities of life and the universe.
And i consoder her pretty smart to even consider working in such a field.

Maybe i should send you my application to be your boyfriend!

Have fun!
