Ladies? How do you feel about inner forearm tattoos?

I have tattoos now, and I love them, but they aren't visible with normal clothing. Lately, I have been very tempted to get a verse or something on my inner forearm as a reminder. I am a nurse...if you woke up from surgery and saw someone with a tattoo message on their inner forearm would you be uncomfortable? Would a visible tattoo have ramifications in my professional career?

I think a tattoo on your inner arm would be fine, however, just make sure it is not something that would offend a lot of patients. You do have to be careful of your choice due to your career but, go for it if you have a good idea! I would stay away from anything naked...lol...

I wouldn't care and I can't imagine anyone would when waking up from surgery.

But i don't know how tattoo friendly the medical community is. That might affect your career.

i personally prefere tattoos on guys's chest or back. if its on your back, you can go big or small. if its your chest do something smaller. but if your really set on doing your inner forearm, then do a pattern not some stupid figure like a naked chic or something like that. if you had writing or something and a patient saw that, i think it would make them think less of you. patterns or designs usually mean something more.

Me personally I would not care if I was to wake up and there is someone with tattoo on them....I am just caring about how the surgery went and if I am okay.

As far as the tattoo and your professional career I believe that it would not affect it that much...most likely you would just have to wear long sleeve shirts

I feel they are somewhat sexy...It gives a bad boy image to an extent without over doing it or looking like you're trying to hard...I say go for it!

Well, honestly, I would be more nervous seeing your tattoo going into the surgery, as long as it went well, I wouldn't mind waking up. It also rather depends on whan your tattoo said. However, it's true that your professional career would be affected.

i just hate guys who get there names on there forarms

its just a style i dont like .. i dont mind like other tastefull tattoos though.. i love sleeves on guys it is soo hott

it wouldn't bother me at all - i think they're nice, but it depends what the rules are for your job.

as far as your career goes you should definitely check into the rules and guidelines for the hospital you work at. i work at a hospital and quite a few guys have visible tattoos and it hasn't been a problem.
i have tattoos and love them so i am all for a well done tattoo.

I don't like tattoos on a man/woman. -God does not want man to mark his temple.

Leviticus 19:28
" 'Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.

I think they are hott!! Go for it!!

I wouldn't be uncomfortable. (I have 4) Maybe speak with a manager (I don't know what you'd call them in a hospital).

The only negative thing I can think of is some people think you can easily catch a disease (which is possible, I know) from getting a tattoo, but I think they will be more concerned with their health!

Hope you can get it!

yes I would say yes It is ver unprofissonal

You are a dude and a nurse and thinking of getting a tattoo.

A nice little rainbow on your forearm would look nice.

Yes i would be very uncomfortable if i woke from surgery and my nurse had tattoos............

Two professional piercers recently told my brother that the best places to get tattoos are places that can easily be hidden, like your upper arm, back, ankle, etc. They said that once you start putting tattoos on your forearms, hands, neck, and other obviously visible places on your body, it'll be harder for you to get and maintain a job.

I'd definitely recommend against getting a forearm tattoo. Not only do they have negative effects on careers, but I personally don't think they even look that great. I like upper arm tattoos. Easily hidden with short sleeves, but still a unique mark of you. Good luck!
