What can i do with a NVQ3 (Elderly) in social care?

I am looking to further my career in social care and was wondering what doors would be open for me ie.. can I go into nursing/ midwifery as oppose to having enough GCSE's to do so without an NVQ3 as I did not get good GCSE results. Any answers from proffesionals in this industry would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

you would be able to get into a nursing course with NVQ 3, it is just what they are looking for as you obviously are good at caring and can back it up with the academics

You could become a care manager, possibly run a home like myself...................

i have my NVQ level 2 and 3 in adult care and am now currently doing a social work degree. I think you can also get into nursing. check with a careers advisor before enrolling on the course.

You do NOT meny GCSEs to do a NVQ3. I have got two NVQ3's and I have only got 2 GCSEs at Grade C.

To go into Nursing/Midwifery you need to a Degree.
