Can anyone advice me on open-minded companies in the UK where I can gain some experience in TEXTILE AND DESIGN

I'm changing my career. My backround is marketing and sales. I'm from South Africa and currently live in the UK. I had to emphasise the 'open-minded'. Everyone around here (London) seems to think SA people are only good at teaching and nursing and selling Charity on the streets!....oh an door knocking!

Talk to people at the textile universities in the UK.
