Marine biologist or something eles??

ok i am in love with water animals and swimming and oceans ....and everything about the ocean....any way i heard they make between 19,000-26,000 a year..is this true....and my other career options would be teacher, nurse/doctor

In all honesty it really depends on the type of Marine based job you have. For example you pay will probably be different if you work in a zoo/aquarium vs working on research for a university.

When it comes to starting pay you are probably looking at the 19 to 26000 range, but again that is starting pay and depending on who you work for that always has the chance to go up.

The key however is not what you make, it is doing what you want to do. If you really want a degree/job with Marine Biology then go for it and do not worry about how much you will make.

Thats so awesome! Going into a job with marine mammals! sounds familiar, hmmm, me! lol! I think marine biology would be really awesome, but thats just studying them out in the wild. Unless thats your thing, to observe them in there natural habitat. There is also marine mammal trainer, where of course, you work at a park like SeaWorld, and get to work with both wild and captive marine life.
And yes, i think thats their average sallery. I wish it was more, as well with marine mammal trainers.
But its totally up to you!
Good luck!

there are certain websites that you can go on and click on a certain job and a certain area and they will tell you how much they make and i've seen up to 70,000 for a marine biologist before....
idk for sure but i think there's one called careerbuilder.com or soemthing like that

Sadly its true. You don't do it for the money you do it because its something you love and you are making a difference. When considering possible career choices pick something you enjoy doing and have passion for. Remember money doesn't buy happiness. Becoming a a full time proffessor pays a lot better though.
