Which is better working with people or animals?

I am considering a career either as a physio/human nurse or vet nurse. I have excellent people skills but I love animals too how do I decide on what is best? I have work experience of Vet Nursing and had some reservations but I loved taking care of the animals but the routine tasks of cleaning got me down. Any thoughts?

If you choose to work with people then you only work with people. If you choose to work with animals you get the best of both worlds - you work with animals but you have to deal with the owners and that needs a sensitive and skilled 'people person'.
There are routines with human patients too! I have never met a person who works with animals and regrets it. They don't moan, bicker, talk behind your back - they will never piss you off!

animals they cant talk back

a vet nurse works with both

I would choose the animals. That way you to get to care for poor sick animal and also chat to the owners.

I think its better working with animals because they dont talk so you cant really get annoyed with them

It depends. If you're working with men, it's about the same as working with animals, so I think I'd go with a species that's always predictable and loving: Animals!

Animals they don't moan and just get on with it.

animals they are lovely, people just moan and be rude.

good luck

It's really your choice, but if you go into vet nursing or along that line you will be working with people too (animals usually don't walk to the vet by themselves). My suggestion go along with the Vet Nursing line. I think you'd enjoy it. Could you go into something like a Vet's Assistant or Vet Tech (I'm not sure what they are called)? I'm not sure if that's the same as nursing. But try to find something a little higher up than cleaning cages (although somebody has to do it).
Good Luck!

Don't doubt that there will be routine with humans too. I would look at it not as humans vs. animals, but on the levels of satisfaction. You'll be saving lives no matter what.

Personally, I'd despise a job if it is centered around paperwork, bogged down with red tape, or utilizes rules that are contradictory to my own ethics.

Discover what your own motivation is. Think about what keeps you going everyday and choose a path that you can live with.

My experience has been that animals are less vicious.
