I would like to start a new career doing something that i like and pays good?

My name is dave and im look for more out of life . I make good money now but i want to do something differant and new ! Im twenty-eight and im not happy with pushing dirt around anymore.... I like to fly , I like to paint, I like to meet new People,I like to be with my wife.I ve been wanting to start a small busness;that way my wife and i can spend our time enjoying life. she is a nurse and i do Excavation for a comany in Harrisburg Pa. Although a Small busness is what we both desire to have going for us ,we're unsure of what to do? We live in a farming/roural community, and many shops are opening and yet, here we are like to bumps on a log... Hear is another ? What could I market all year long and have astedy flow of sales ? food, clothing,funiture,arts,crafts,electronic... tell me what would if you only had 5k, to start a small business where and what would do with your hard earned money?

First of all you have to understand that starting your own business will be far far more work than you imagine, spending time with your wife and enjoying life will not be on the cards for a good while.

Go through different shops, see what atmospheres you like, how the place vibes and also the kind of places you don't like. Try as many as possible, don't rule out any products as you want to keep an open mind since you don't know what you'll feel good about.

Also see your bank, see how your capital might be upped and also how you can be covered so that if things should go wrong you don't lose everything (never risk your home!)

For business ideas there are two magazines I like. You can get them at your local bookstore. One is small business opportunies magazine and the other is business opportunies handbook you can also find it online. They have all kinds of business ideas for every kind of budget.
