Whats a better career, a nurse or a teacher?

I think nurses is a better field, although teachers get summers off, so if I was teaching, I'd get time off with my kids. My GF is going to school to be a teacher, but she originally went for nursing, she can't decide. Money is easier to come by in nursing.

Nurses are in high demand and usually receive better pay. Of course, there are varying degrees to each field, each with their own pay structure. For example, a kindergarten teacher won't make as much money as a university professor, but both can be considered teachers.

It depends entirely on the person; there is no right answer.

I'd be a good teacher, but a terrible nurse.

If I were a nurse, I know that it would be very fulfilling. My daughter is a nurse &
loves it. But I have taught Sunday School and the kids are awesome. I learned a
lot from them. Kids are so innocent and honest. This is a hard call as both are
necessary. What do you think?

My mom was a nurse for over 30 years and loved it. She loved to help people. I can't stand blood. I started out as a computer programmer, but have been teaching at a community college. I love teaching. I"m also an extrovert and like to entertain, so I really enjoy it.

Nurses are in high demand and are paid well. Depending on where you live, and what you teach (especially if you teach math or science) public school teachers can make a nice living and can be in high demand.

I'd pick what you enjoy doing the most, or you'll burn out fast at something you're just doing because it pays well or is a popular job at the time...
Good luck!
