Update certified nursing assistant certificate? |
Should this be yearly? it has to be renewed like your dl Like the person above said, they will mail you a form. Many states require you to do some continuing education, like being enrolled in an RN program or by attending seminars that your employer is supposed to help you set up. Many employers have free on-line and in-person continuing education units that really don't take that long. I believe you are also required to work a minimum of 20 hrs/ yr to keep it current. If it lapses, you usually just take the test over. What do you mean update? When I was a CNA all I had to do was get in so many hours of education, the employer would send in the paper work, and I had to do nothing. They send you a renewal form every two years!!! Check with your state's nursing board. Some states is annually where as others are good for multiple years. Some companies will do the paperwork for you while others will require you to keep up on your certification |
