Is becoming a nursing assistant a hard job??? |
there arent any jobs in my hometown our unemployment rate in the town is the #1 in the whole state of va!! anywho is i get my nurse aide certificate i will have a job here i dont wanna relocate so is it the best occupation to pursue???? The job of a certified nurse's aide is supposed to be quite physically and emotionally draining. The cna typically works with residents (patients living in a nursing home) with alzheimer's and other forms of dementia thus the possibility of them being combative and agitated while trying to help to get them bathed, dressed, fed, transfer from the bed to the bathroom commode and such. Please don't get thrown off by the term 'aide' or 'assistant' :) If wanting to get any type of career training, please do Not go to one of those private expensive schools and instead look into a county vo-tech school or community college (perhaps non-credit course). It is a good job as there is always work. Its challenging spending most of your day changing diapers, feeding people and being on your feet all day and the other part of your day doing things that the nurse doesnt want to do. |
