If you are referring to a nurse working in a clinic, some. advantages might be that they are usually Monday thru friday jobs and day shift, with weekends and holidays off. You see different patients most everyday and the paperwork is done as you see each patient. Some disadvantages are usually a lower pay scale than hospitals and nursing homes, patients tend to be grumpy since most clinics involve a long wait to be seen and peolpe don't like to wait, especially when they are ill, and you don't often see the progress a patient makes from the care that you give to them.
It really depends upon what you like to do as a nurse. A clinic nurse does assessments and histories and may give some injections and does patient teaching. In a hospital, nursing home or home care the nurse does more direct patient care and spends more time with the same patients. You see them through their illnesses and their good times. But you also have a lot more paperwork and often do not get done on time. You usually have to work a lot of weekends and holidays.
