What GPA is required for nursing in seattle's schools? |
I've been researching online that you need a really really high GPA to get into the competition for nursing despite the what they require. I have an avg GPA of 2.8 steady (I know, it's really low..i managed to get only a few above 3.0's) But will that ruin my chances to get into a nursing program in one of seattle's community colleges? Any inputs or experiences with that? I'm trying real hard and that last thing I want is to not get accepted bc of my grades. Thanks!! Ouch. I wanted to get into NSCC bc i would live near there.. and since they don't require one to have a CNA license. What about NSCC-would there be a waitlist bc of my grades? I don't plan to finish a degree in nursing at the university...I wanted to finish my psych degree...is that anymore different? sorry so many questions. thnx! Heres the deal you have no chance at uw and your chances are slim even at the community college level because those programs feed into uw medical program. Your best bet is to try to apply for a nursing program at a community college like Olympic College in Bremerton because it is a far off school that offers a nursing program without as much competion due to it location then will HIGH grades try transfering to UW. You also might try skagit cc, greenriver cc, or maybe even highline cc but even still your grades are very low for a nursing program at any level. |
