What do I need When Starting College? I want to become a nurse?

1. Money for tuition
2. Information directly from an advisor at the college you intend to get your degree from.
3. Enough free time & the will to do all the work required of you.

Make sure you get into the classes you need ASAP! Also be sure to study if you didnt have to in high school, that's kicking my *** right now.

Most colleges offer a nursing course...your best bet would be to call the college of your choice and check their requirements. A nurse once told me that there is a 2 year course and a 4 year course...don't try to do a fly by course...go for the 4 year...you will learn a lot more...

guess the 1st thing you would need is a high school diploma or equivilant. Then you should talk to the college of choice. Talk to a guidance counsolor. Everything you need and want to know, they will be able to tell you. Good luck and great job wanting to go to college.

You will need:

1. a source of income or financial aid to provide for your: housing, food, books and other school materials.

2. a good place to study - you will be doing a lot of reading.

3. to maintain a good exercises routine to help your brain with the studying. Physical fitness translates to mental fitness.

4. a good group of like minded people to study with...

5. an occasional outlet = take break every now and then to enjoy life and to help maintain your educational path.
