im not really sure of what to take in college..

but can you give me advice about what course i must take..

i want a course that will not give me problem in looking for job in the future with a good salary..

a job that will help me to travel around the world..

a job that will make me know a lot of culture and languages of different countries..

im thinking of medicine..but i think it's too hard for me coz im just an average student..

im also thinking of psychology but im not sure if it is easy to have job..

im thinking of nursing butthe job is too tough and you have to take orders from doctors..which i dont like..

please suggest a course that might suit me..

I'm going to give you a HUGE push in the right direction:

Stick to Gen Ed classes for the first 2 years. You have to take 'em anyway. Gen Ed classes are the boring generic classes EVERYONE is required to take--the English, the bio, etc.

--Try Anthropology, if it's offered. It's a degree that WILL take you around the world. Once you get your master's, it will make you a fair share of money.

--Don't focus on the money. If you enjoy what you do, you'll be able to take yourself anywhere. Why be miserable in accounting when you excel at nursing and can double your salary in ten years because you do well in it?

--Look around, ask questions of professionals and professors, and sit in on some classes. Don't worry--you have time to figure it all out.

--What sort of travels do you want to do? Sometimes even focusing on a foreign language will help open doors so that you could possibly even just teach English in that country. I know a friend who just graduated with a degree in Japanese and now is teaching English in Japan.

Join the Army...seriously.

talk to your counselor about it, you need to take more than one course anyways, find out what interest you

Start taking your "basics" - math, english, gov, etc. @ a community college asap. While you're there, the tuition is usually dirt cheap, so take some other courses in fields you think you might like. It is a cheap way to explore career fields. Don't do like I did. I switched majors 5 times in my 4.5yrs getting my 1st BS degree. Then I ended up getting a BBA for accounting (what I do now). That was about $100k worth of courses & related fees, books, etc. - & that was all at public colleges.

The hotel/restaurant/tourism industry, pay is decent, you travel and learn about other places, there are plenty of jobs in the travel industry its a billion dollar business. I suggest going on http://www.petersons.com and doing a search for colleges with tourism programs Make sure you get into a program that is a management program. So when you graduate you will get a management position instead of starting from the bottom with a entry level position. My major happens to be in hotel/restaurant. tourism management

Here is more about a careers in the travel industry. http://www.w3education.org/career_guide/...

i would suggest that you talk to your guidance counselor just for the fact that you wouldnt want to base your career choice off random people's suggestions. also the counselor has aptitude tests that you can take that will tell you exactly what your interested in and also has info on what the projected employment oppurtunities are for specific careers and what the average salary will be when you finish school.
