Think my chances of getting into nursing school are good? |
I am transferring into a BSN nursing school for the spring semester. The deadline for admissions is Nov.1 but I haven't applied yet. I plan to get everything in by next week (Oct 18). My 2 year GPA at the college I'm at now is 3.93. Is applying too closely to the deadline going to limit my chances? I read today on other yahoo questions that a lot of people are denied for a lack of space. Basically, what I'm asking is will it be on a first come basis, or by GPA? Well ...with the nursing programs that i know of if you meet the requirements you are put on the list for the next semester with an opening. You have a great GPA..congrats. If i were you...get your stuff in ASAP!!! you never know how many spots are left..and woulden't you hate to be one day to late!! If you do not get it for this spring do NOT freak out. There are still typically classes that are taken within a nursing program that are offered to the general population of the student body. Get those out of the way. Good luck and HURRY!!!! :) First come first serve. Many nursing programs are overloaded and have a waiting list. They usually have a point system that determines where you fit on the list. Your good GPA should help but it won't guarantee you a spot. As long as you get your application in before the deadline that shouldn't hurt you unless your program takes people on a first come first serve basis. Call the Nursing department at your school and they should be able to tell you what to do and what your chances are. Good Luck! It's based off of how hot you are. Ugly nurses aren't in demand anymore. Men (the rulers of this world) require their nurses to be hot in today's society. Have no fear though, if you are not hot you can always be a housewife to a factory worker in Alabama. |
