What would college life be like for me? the only person i would know in the whole entire state would be myself

ok, i am 16 yo and i live in FL. i have 2 parents who are on the verge of retirement from their Insurance Buisness, an older sister who is trying to get into nursing school (age 20, still lives at home, shares a bedroom with me), an older brother (age 18, still living at home) who is a volunteer fire-fighter trying to get hired fulltime, and a little brother (age 10) who I am VERY VERY close to (he doesn't live with us, but spends about maybe 1-2 weekends a month with us). I have been homeschooled my whole life, and play softball spring and fall (i have friends there), i go to community college (dual-enrolled), and have about 5 friends from church (I'm pentecostal). i have lived a very sheltered life and I am very shy. the question of college is coming up, and I am thinking of going to Regent University in VA. i want to major in Broadcasting. What would it be like for me to be all by myself in VA? should i reconsider? thanks for any help. (i would be enrolling fall of 09).

oh yeah, i've never had a boyfriend or been on a date (i don't believe in dating, but courting). i have a friend from church who has a crush on me, and i like him too. we've liked each other for about 2 years. we wanted to get together as more than friends when i turn 18. but i'm gonna turn 18 and then go to college. he is 8 mo. younger than me, and i'll already be gone by the time he turns 18 (which is what we needed to wait for). how would this work? thanks....

Girl , you REALLYYYYYY need to get more social, volunteer at some place, animal shelter, hospital, etc. If yo don't make friends now, your college experience will probably, ore then likely be very awkward, especially if you are going to live in a dorm with other people. You only live once, so have some fun. And common' date some, by the tie I was 13 i had already had a few bfs. If you don't do this now, you'll be very lonely.

probably aqward.
