What type of schooling do I need to work in psychiatric nursing?

I am a sophomore in high school and I am interested in a career in psychiatric nursing most likely working with adolescents. I was wondering how long I'd have to go to school for, what would I major in college, which colleges I could go to, and what courses can I take in high school that would help me get into the college and get a job later on in life. I currently have a 3.33 GPA.

Get your Bachelor's in Nursing, and while you are in school, you can try to get a job as a tech in a Mental Health Institution or clinic. Just do good in school and take all the sciences you can, you will need Chemistry, Microbiology, Anatomy & Physicology for nursing and the more you already know, the better you'll do...good luck!!
